"Bunny" Comstock received his wings in July 1942, and went overseas with 56th Fighter Group in December 1942. He was flying P-47's out of Kings Cliff when he got his first victory, an Me-109, on 17 August 1943 he got two more victories during his first tour of duty. Returing to the 56th in the later 1944, he was given command of the 63rd Fighter Squadron and became an Ace on December 23. Comstock ended the war with 5 aerial victories. He also served in Korea flying F-86's and later in Vietnam flying F-100's.
